Double Glazing Glass or Double-Pane Glass is created by two panes glass set together with a thin layer of air sandwiched between the panes. Double Glazing Glass has become the standard for construction since the 1970s and has replaced singlepane glass since then. In addition to being able to provide a better barrier to outside temperatures, which creates an energy efficient environment indoors, double glazed glass is built to withstand much higher force than a single-pane glass can handle.
